Why Don’t My Staff “Get it”?
More accurately, people management is what I am referring to.
First, some home truths whether you like it or not…
1. It is your business and no matter how much you pay or scare or entice your staff they cannot and will not care as much as you do.

Business Management is People Management
So often I see business owners getting very wound up by what their staff do or don’t do. By referring to the rules above may I be the nasty one to point out, they don’t care! The best thing you can do is to give them systems and processes and monitor these with reporting and KPI’s. Be as nice or as nasty as you like but unless you have routine in your business your employees will do what they individually feel like regardless of what you think they might be doing or thinking.
This is what big businesses do, implement systems and processes and then manage by monitoring the reports. Do yourself and your business and your employees a favour, do the same thing. Implement systems and processes and reporting in your business. Just like kids (who need and thrive with routine), your employees will respond accordingly. It all comes down to you, not them!
